PCB, Cricket Australia eye organising T10
League
The Pakistan
Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia (CA) are eyeing to stage a T10 league
in the future, sources told Geo News on Friday.
According to
the sources, PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf will visit Australia
where he will discuss the proposal with Cricket Australia officials.
Both board
will explore possibilities of jointly conducting the T10 league in the future.
Ashraf will depart for Australia on December 22.
Cricket Australia
has invited Ashraf to witness the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, starting from
December 26.
Ashraf will
also hold meetings with the authorities of Cricket Australia. They will discuss
the possibilities of exchange programmes and age group cricket series.
In October,
PCB and Middlesex County Cricket Club signed an MoU to jointly launch a T10
league.
Both parties
will be equal equity partners in this league subject to mutually agreed concepts,
business plans, financial projections, and management structure.
It must be
noted that T10 Leagues are becoming common all over the world after it started
in December 201. The tournament is being held every year in Abu Dhabi.
