India are through to the Final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup
India has qualified for the Final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup after broken the ‘‘New Zealand jinx’’ and
defeated them by 70 runs in the first Semi-Final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World
Cup at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

India were off to a powerful start as he managed to scored 47 off 29 with 4
boundaries and 4 maximums. After, Rohit departs Shubman Gill unleashed some
exquisite shots to keep the run rate going.
New Zealand seemed to be without answers, till Gill picked up cramps in the 23rd
over and had to leave the pitch, unbeaten on 80 in 66 balls included 8 fours and 3 sixes.
After that, new comer Shreyas Iyer has joined the party and unleashed
a big hits throughout his innings . On the other side, Kohli reached his half
century, he was playing with patience as Shreyas playing his shots.
Kohli opened his armed after reaching three figures for the
50th time in his career as he broken the record of Sachin Tendulkar
most centuries in ODIs (49). Before, departing to Southee Kohli scored magnificent
117 off 114 with the help off 9 fours and 2 sixes.
But, the Iyer excellence continued as India were looking to
post a big total on the board, Iyer reached his hundred on 67 balls included 8
sixes and 4 fours before he departed to Boult.
At the end KL Rahul played a rapid knock of 39 on 29 deliveries
as he hits 5 fours and 2 sixes and took his side to the mammoth total of 397.
Southee took 3 wickets but he just gave the runs in the flow as he conceded 100
in his 10 overs, Boult took 1 wicket for 86
in his overs.
In the chase of target, India started their defence for 398
brilliantly as Shami removed both the openers in his first 2 overs.
However, after losing two early wickets Kane Williamson and
Daryl Mitchell formed a 184 runs partnership which brought back Black Caps back
in the game. This partnership has been broken by Mohammad Shami as he sent back
Kane Williamson (69 off 73) to the pavilion. Notably, Williamson was dropped by
Shami in the 29th over but later he covered up his mistake and
removed him in the 33rd over.
Shami continued to strike as he removed Tom Latham on duck.
Then, Glenn Philips( 41 off 33 ) played some of his shots but that’s not enough
for New Zealand as he give his wicket to Jasprit Bumrah.
The wickets continued to fall for New Zealand as he their last
hope Mitchell departed after playing a valiant knock of 134 of 119 that includes
9 fours and 7 sixes.
New Zealand were all out on 327 in 48.5 overs. Shami was again phenomenal with the ball as he managed to take 7 wickets and player of the match award. Also, Bumrah, Siraj and Kuldeep took 1 wicket each.
