It is indeed an honor to Sri Lanka that the Hero of 1996
world cup and former captain Aravinda De Silva will be going to take (ICC Hall
of Fame) honor in the next few days.
At the time when, cricket fans of Sri Lanka, have every reason
to despair, legends such as Aravinda De Silva remind us the glory days of Sri
Lanka cricket.
In 93 test matches he played in 159 innings and scored 6361 test runs with the average of 43 included 20 centuries and 22 fifties, Highest Score of 267. In 308 ODIs he got a chance to feature in 296 innings and scored 9284 ODI runs with the average of almost 35 and strike rate of 81.1 included 11 centuries and 64 fifties, Highest score of 145. He also taken 135 wickets through out his career.
This all stats will always remind us of the reason that Ara deserved
the golden- stripped Hall of Famer cap.
