Zampa equals Muralitharan ODI World

Australia’s Adam Zampa achieved
a significant milestone in the ICC Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final
against India on Sunday.

The leg
spinner equalled the record of spin maestro Muttiah Muralitharan for the most
wicket taken by a spinner in a single edition of the ODI World Cup.
Zampa
reached this feat during the 45th
over of the India innings, when he caught Jasprit Bumrah in front.
Despite securing just 1 wicket in his spell, the Australian spinner marked a
milestone.
Throughout
the ongoing World Cup garnered an impressive tall of 23 wickets in 11 matches. He
equals the record of Sri Lanka legend Muralitharan in the 2007 ODI World Cup
held in the Caribbean, where he also collected 23 wickets.
